Playshops

I love both the discipline and freedom I find in the practices of haiku and qigong.  Both are teaching me to pay attention and be more mindful in my daily life.  Both put me in touch with nature and the seasons and help me recognize my connection to every other living thing.  Both put my mind at ease and help me relax into that Something that is bigger and wiser than myself.

If you are interested in learning about or experiencing qigong or haiku, I am available to lead playshops or retreats using one or both of these practices.  You can reach me at hhrainwater@gmail.com.

An example of a playshop I presented at the Haiku North America Conference August, 2019:

Turning Toward the Moon:  Women, Haiku, and Qigong
Women and those who love them are on the cusp of a major shift.  In this workshop we will let the nature imagery of haiku and the gentle movement of qigong be our bridge to a transformed way of being in the world.  We will explore our place in the family of things, learning to balance resisting with yielding as we dissolve walls and and make way for community. People of all genders are welcome.
